HI, I’M Alex harper
I’M A DAD, A STATE PROSECUTOR AND A FIGHTER FOR THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH CAROLINA'S 5TH DISTRICT
I was born and raised in York County and am a proud product of working class parents and our public schools. After studying law at USC, I began my career in public service as a prosecutor for the state.
I go to work every day to fight for justice, often for victims of sexual violence and child abuse. I’ve seen some really hard stuff, but I’m never one to back down from a fight.
That’s what District 5 needs right now, a fighter. Someone to stand up to the bullies in Congress who prioritize their own power and money while actively destroying the American Dream for the rest of us.
GENERATIONS OF EVERYDAY, HARDWORKING AMERICANS HAVE NEVER FELT LESS FINANCIALLY SECURE, LESS SAFE, OR LESS IN CONTROL OF THEIR OWN LIVES THAN THEY DO RIGHT NOW.
As a husband and father, I got into this race because I couldn’t sit back and watch D.C. try to take control of my family’s future. We have to turn the tide in 2026 so our kids don’t inherit this. That’s why I’m here.
I was born here, raised here, and I go to work every day to serve and protect the people who live right here in district 5. I LISTEN TO them, LEARN THEIR STORIES, AND GO OUT AND FIGHT FOR THEIR JUSTICE. I’ll do the same for you every day in congress.
