After earning his law degree in South Carolina, Alex became a prosecutor, focusing on the toughest cases—crimes of sexual violence and child abuse. That work wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. Because for Alex, public service isn’t a slogan—it’s a calling. He’s running for Congress not out of ambition, but out of responsibility. Responsibility to his daughter, to his community, and to the country that gave him a chance to thrive. He believes that education is the silver bullet, that clean energy is the key to American leadership, and that housing and good-paying jobs are the foundation of a strong middle class. Most of all, he believes that unity isn’t naive—it’s essential. That we can’t fix what’s broken unless we work together. Alex is running to show that common sense and compassion still have a place in politics—and that when we come together, there's nothing America can't do.
